Dear Mr Plotner,
Thank you for your generous donation of 24 bicycles to the Youth Community Action Team (YCAT) of the Washtenaw County Chapter of the American Red Cross on February 19, 2008. The bicycles, which were in various levels of repair, are being used by YCAT members for the Bike Restoration Project. The project involved refurbishing old bicycles and then re-donating them to low-income children and youth for personal use, and to a few low-income adults who need a bicycle for transportation to work.
Through your gift, YCAT members have learned the meaning of giving. They have been trained in bicycle repair, have made the necessary repairs, and are actively involved in the donation process.
From blood services to local disaster relief, from assistance with military families to Health and Safety and lifesavings skills training for the youth of Washtenaw County, the Washtenaw County Chapter of the American Red Cross provides essential services that each year touch the lives of one in three county residents.
Thank you again for your generosity and your continued support of our chapter. Your good will makes our work possible.
Sincerely,
Jared Meldrum
